the art of accepting, reflecting and transforming
The ART of accepting, reflecting and transforming is a simple but powerful mantra to keep close to our minds and hearts. Basically, it keeps us from drifting away from our core values, world views, and authentic identities while enhancing our vulnerable, whole-hearted, collective consciousness.
As we reflect on our thoughts, action, emotions and interact with others in our day-to-day worldly existences, we can be overwhelmed with the myriad of energy, emotions, actions, information, choices, challenges, and concerns. This is especially true if you tend to be the empathetic kind, and like me, you are an antenna for all the energy around you!
Having a strategy in place that is simple and effective to implement is empowering. It has helped me to build a more stable foundation and level the emotions and thoughts in a workable place of equanimity. In doing so, I am better apt to stay true to my identity, core values, and world views despite cacophony surrounding me.
the art mantra
Art is a metaphor for creative being-in-the-world built on the mantra of accepting, reflection, and transforming:
“Accept the thought, event, or emotion
and drop the line, without engaging i
n impromptu, ineffective, stressful struggles creating instability;
reflect on them effective time and space, and,
if after mindful, intentional, growth-mindset reflection,
change is deemed to be positive (and only then) shift,
transform or alter core values, world views, or ways of being
always in keeping with authenticity.’

R ~ Reflecting
Through a full, consistent engagement of the ART process, a helix of mindful living is etched into our day-to-day experiences. In doing so, we achieve better realization of meaningful potentials.
until we make the unconscious, conscious,
it will direct our lives
and we will call it fate
~ Carl Jung
The ART of accepting, reflecting and transforming is the mind-map of our life stories. The narratives of our identities integrate the matrix of body, mind, heart, soul, and spirit-energy/collective sources around us. This can be best visualized as a helix-shaped, interconnecting framework.
When you write a book, you spend day after day scanning and identifying the trees. When you’re done, you have to step back and look at the forest.
~ Stephen King
The narrative is your story (the forest) and you are the protagonist — the main character. But, this personal narrative story is also smaller niche in the collective forest. Both the self and collective needs artful understanding and nourishment in order to reach individual and cultural potentials.
The more consciously engaged you are with these processes, the more agency you have in the transformations within the multi-dimensional art matrices.

As we work through and beyond being ‘stuck’, physically, emotionally and mentally, that we get down to the heart, soul and spirit of things.
What we “actually need is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of us….the call of a potential meaning waiting to be fulfilled” by you.
That is where the most vital energies can be sourced to support a balanced, healthy matrix. The next page is looks at the matrix, and in particular, the art matrix. We are the art matrix and and the art of our interactions with the ‘external’ experiences, events, and energies, in space and time.
Thank you for sharing the journey with me!
