In the Art of Being Authentic you empower the parts and connections of your matrix.
are not the mountains, waves and skies
a part of you
of your soul
as you are of them? ~ Byron
And, our human stream of consciousness holds it all together. At a deeper level we are connected soulfully and spiritual with a collective consciousness.
5 parts of life in the matrix
~ The Body
Our bodies are the bridges between earth and spirit. As spiritual beings, we are having human experiences. It’s essential that the physical vessels that are our homes stay healthy and vital.
Real, holistic healing involves grounding our psychological and spiritual discoveries into the physical reality of our existence.
~ The Mind
The mind helps us to organize, plan, comprehend, create, visualize, discern, and use logic. But, on the other hand, the unruly mind can be illogical, ignorant, prejudiced, hateful, illogical and deluded. The mind can be used as either a tool of creation or destruction.
Depression, social anxiety, anorexia, BPD, dissociation and other mental health disorders can be the result of not having an empowered, authentic voice, a solid, loved identity and a set of genuine, understood core values. These problematic issues are exacerbated from seeking self-worth from the words or actions from others or if there is a deficiency of honest, nurturing compassionate support for your well-being.
The mind, actions and emotions need to be active and balanced parts of our lives to live fully, without fear, with integrity.
All of our suffering originates in the mind and the unexamined thoughts, beliefs, mindsets, defense mechanisms, and wounds that we carry. By accepting and carefully reflecting we can transform distorted thinking which support healthy living.
~ The Heart
The heart symbolizes our connections with the spirit as it transcends the mind. It reflects intuition, courage, vulnerability, gratitude, compassion and empathy. In essence, our hearts opens us to the world around us.
Pain, trauma, heartbreak, and toxic core beliefs all cause the heart to become closed or shut off from our true selves and others. We need to heal our hearts so we can reach spiritual, mental and physical wholeness and well-being. Wisdom and guidance is found through the heart.
~ The Soul
The framework of the art of the matrix embraces the idea that the soul is inseparably connected with consciousness, spirit and the mind.
The soul is to the spirit as the feminine yin/Shakti energy is to the masculine yang/Shiva energy. Within each us these two energy forms are interconnected.
Think of your soul as your nascent self or genuine nature. It contains all the wisdom, guidance, and nourishment that you need on this earth.
Our soul responds to life, to rhythm, to joy, to music. The purpose of the shamanic healing practice of soul retrieval is to gather as much of our life force as possible in order to live this life to the greatest degree that we can as human beings.
In many respects, there is nothing “sacred” or extraordinary about this per se; it is a natural expression of life. Most importantly, an enlightened or ‘illuminated’ person is one who has united with Spirit and transcended the ego-mind.
a spiritual energy or mystical force
~ present in all people
although not all have chosen to see it
~ empowers them to affect the world and to affect change in their own life
The spirit is the canvas of energy on which the entire expanse of creation dances. This aspect of the matrix, transcends the 4 matrix attributes of the individual to incorporate the energy around us. From the air we breathe, to the flora and fauna, to our fellow human ‘matrices’ the universe, spiritual energy is a form of consciousness holding everything together as an ultimate primal force.
spirituality is recognizing and celebrating
that we are all inextricably connected to one another
by a power greater than each of us
that our powerful connection to one another
is grounded in love and belonging
spirituality brings a sense of perspective
of meaning, and purpose to our lives — Brené Brown
In most simple terms, spirituality is the ultimate primal force, external to each of us, but that which also touches, integrates and influences our souls through to our thoughts, emotions and actions.
a kind of melancholic trance
in which you completely absorbed in vivid sensory details
raindrops skittering down a window, clouds of cream swirling in your coffee a dawning awareness of the fragility of life
balancing the matrix into an ambedo of equanimity
Think of the matrix as a circle with four quadrants and the rim is spirituality or consciousness holding it all together. The four cardinal directions highlight the power of the integrated circles inherent in nature.
~ the South
yellow, the direction of wildness, dignity, belonging, and full-bodied feeling
mid-day and summer; engaged; emotionally charged; pain and sadness;
~ the North
blue, the direction of reflections, nurturing, generating, visionary action, and heart-centered thinking; night and winter; reflection with insightful meditation
~ the West
orange/red, the direction of romance, spirituality; transformation; of metaphors and deep imagination; twilight and autumn
~ the East
green, the direction which orients innocence, paradoxical humour, and full-presence sensing; rising light and spring revival; acceptance; Elders, guide with knowledge and wisdom
In teachings of many Aboriginal groups the medicine wheel as a sacred circle is used as part of the healing process. The transcript that follows is one way to describe this transformative journey.
On the path to wholeness and balance
my healing journey begins
to witness my anger, sadness and pain
forcing me to travel
where I learn
more about what happened
and that learning
leads me on my journey
to meet West
bringing news about the spirits
of my ancestors
and my spirit heals
and with my new knowledge
I travel to East
to share my findings and knowledge
and so I have come full circle
and know if am challenged or need more healing
I will return
and begin the journey again.
There are different ways of knowing and understanding our selves and our world. The circle is an organizational tool providing a balanced and organized approach. It denotes wholeness, inclusion, femaleness (womb) and eternity.
The circle brings the matrix together as a whole and a never-ending flow of energy and growth. When we contemplate insightfully, we aim to shift from nadir (blackness) to our personal zenith (white / 7th chakra). The circle and the chakra flow can be balanced or unbalanced depending upon what is placed on or in it.
The Métis infinity circle is the joining of two circles. This illustrates the joining of two cultures/peoples and the unending existence of the people. On this journey of empowerment, we draw insight, deeper understandings and enrich our lives and identities as foundational for holistic well-being.
