What we actually need is not a tensionless state
but rather the striving and struggling for some goal
worthy of us (each and the group)
….the call of a potential meaning, waiting to be fulfilled, by you.
Full Circle: On Action-Based Insight, Healing, Transformation and Reconciliation for the Individual, the People and the Earth
In order to have healthy individuals and healthy cultures, six fundamental human needs are essential: basic needs including physiological, safety and security; psychological needs including belonging, love and esteem; self-actualization needs includes creativity, novelty through intellectual curiosity, and transcendence. The characters and “Districts” in this poetry collections represent different aspects of transformation of Self, World, and Earth through symbiotic evolution and adaption.
Conceptual cultural themes, suggest general motivations responsible a social group’s particular way of living. We are quickly evolving from smaller ‘World’ groupings to a more global community. Identity is a significant issue both from an individual to a group perspective. The health of our identity and sense of belonging effects Self, World and Earth.
The poems currently included this collection tend towards a dialogue in the form of free verse and stream of consciousness style.

Healthy cultures start with healthy individuals
Healthy individuals need a solid foundation of core values, world views, identity understanding and acceptance with strong voices to support active participation in Earth and World evolution.
Supporting self-autonomy, independence includes nurturing free, original and even eccentric thinking and voicing of these thoughts through art, poetry and other meaningful genres. Meeting the needs of the individual is essential to encourage a global space of diversity and integration.
Rather than viewing transformation as a hierarchy, I present them as a matrix—an overlapping, interconnecting system. This is a dynamic process shifting and growing over time and space. The understanding of both individual and cultural competency is essential for truth and reconciliation.
We must learn to live together or perish together as fools.
~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
